THIS IS JUSTICE?
FULTON'S COMMENTARY ON THIS STORY: |
There can never be justice when one is convicted under an unjust law. Unjust laws yield injustice and tragedy. Nothing illustrates this more than the story of Alfred Martin who was convicted, in 1974, of selling $10 worth of marijuana in 1974. True enough, this man walked away from a minimum security prison some 25 years ago, but where is the statute of limitations for such a crime? Where is the justice in pursuing him now? There is no justice here. The judge in Virginia should absolve Alfred Martin of wrongdoing and release him from prison.
